Dear mdeweerd,
Thank you for your works, I'm new to this forum and I would like to ask you a technical question for my friend who is an software development.
I will quote his question directly-- "what I am after is the USB communication protocol for the device. This is usually defined by the hardware vendor, as they build their devices to work to that specification and then provide details of how to communicate with the device to the application developers."
Since you've built very useful application program for iBlue747, I suppose maybe you can help with his question? We tried to contact the supplier we bought 747 but we can't get any positive response, so I would really appreciate if you or anyone on this forum can help us with this! Look forward to hear your answer. |

Hello leditgo
Your question is not very precise. You either mean the USB protocol itself which is some kind of serial link over USB, or the protocol used in the serial link.
For the USB protocol it, the documentation may not be detailed enough but you can get documentation and driver source code from the Silabs site when you look for the CP2102 device documentation. This device is used to make the bridge between the serial link and the USB link. Concerning the serial protocol, I have referenced the link to the google document where I gathered information regarding that somewhere on this site. |

Hi 'gpspassion' I suppose htat 'a bump' is a 'bad' translation from french for something like 'un coup de pouce' - in English it does not sound that positive ;-) (it is more like a bump in a car). Anyway - I've been thinking about it and it should not be too difficult if we suppose that the input GPX file is correct (no need to do real XML validation). Volunteers are welcome - personally I am quite busy to get my tax report ready (I need to organize a lot of paper ;-( ) - after that I intend to fix some 'minor' stuff in BT747 and maybe implement GPX input. |

| Ok - I did not know that it is used to push up a thread. I tried to find a translation for 'that's a bump'. I did not find one, but it does seem to be a negative surprise. |

Hi,
I hope someone can help me, been trying this for the last hour...
I want to install BT747 on my HX 4700 with windows mobile 6.
I installed the superwaba application and the BT747 application to my CF card. The folder structure is like this: CF Card\SuperWaba - MSW.pdb - SDL.dll - SDL_net.dll - SuperWaba.exe - SuperWaba.pdb - *.pdb CF Card\SuperWaba\BT747 - BT747.pdb
If I select BT747.pdb it starts the SuperWaba Virtual Machine, but thats it, nothing happens, it just says Version 5.85 for PocketPC, running on HP iPAQ hx4700. What am I doing wrong, or what am I missing?
I read there were more people using a hx4700, so it should be possible :)
btw, great website, still have a lot of reading to do, just got a qstarz Q1000P gps/logger

Hi On WinCE you need to install the appropriate CAB file. The BT747.pdb is for Palm only. Some pdb files are usefull (SuperWaba installation) because they are fonts. You might need some from the BT747 distribution if you chose to install Chinese, Japanese or Korean. |

Thanks for the answer,
I did install the pocket PC ARM version of BT747. To bad SuperWaba doesnt have a load .pdb file option, its a little bit confusing.
The BT747.pdb is the actual program, isnt it, that should run inside the VM? |

Hi I've wrote this C program. The result I get (the received variable) is just the current GPS coordinates. What NMEA commands are necessary for submitting 747 that to load all tracks? |

I have a BT-Q1000P and a Palm Treo 700p. I was able to connect to the GPS through bluetooth, but I am unable to transfer any points from the Unit. Is this because I need to add that resistor..or am I missing something.
Thanks BR |

My thanks to mdeweerd for the help !!! I managed to get the data from logger. But there is a discrepancy between data from logger and from standard program.
Example! from logger: latitude_data = 50.4247 longitude_data=30.5406 from standard program: latitude_data = 5025.5362 longitude_data=3032.3518
Please let me know what formula should I use to transform the data from logger into the standard format like this: latitude_data = 5025.5362 longitude_data=3032.3518
Thanks in advance and best regards! |
