Here is a thread to share a list of online or offline tools to analyze and view Tracks :

  • uTrack - link : "uTrack is online utility for generating track reports from *.GPX files. The track is shown on Google Maps, there are calculated some parameters and showed some profiles of the track on report too. It is possible to export report into *.PDF file. "

  • TTSM - link : Here is an interesting Google Maps Mashup to share your GPS tracks. TTSM has a module to analyze your tracks and also store them to keep tabs. You can also add comments and pictures.

  • myGuideVTT - link : Site in French where you can upload your tracks in .csv format (use G7toWin to convert GPX) and see them on Google Maps with graphs and stats.

  • magnalox - link : Site in English where you can upload your tracks and replay them dynamically with various live graphs. They also provide a Windows Mobile application for live tracking

  • gpx-view - link : lets you upload GPX tracks and send the link to friends

Could someone please give me a hint on how to upload trips to TTSM. I just can't figure it out...

By the way, http://www.gpsies.com is another good site for analyzing GPS logs

Once you're logged in, click on "Add trip" at the top of the page. You can also edit a previous trip by right-clicking on the name and "holding the click".

Here's a new online tool, in French -> http://www.guidevtt.com/Membres/index.php

Thanks, I found it. Nice site.

Does anyone know what the difference is between a GPX Track and a GPX Route?

PS: Too bad that I can't read French...

I'm looking for software that analyzes a weeks worth of GPS data from a vehicle and give reports that include the following information using filters:
    - Number of stops
    - Places visited
    - How many times the vehicle went to knonwn places.
    - Hours running
    - Distance traveled per day

    Is there such a program?
    Thanks,
    TonoS

Not that I'm aware of, no, not a consumer program at least but I'm sure you can get a company specialized in tracking to do that for you, you could give www.liveviewgps.com a holler ;-)

uTrack is doing the best job of the bunch, I think.
Now if any of them could just take a track, and tell me how many calories I have burned ;-)
