Thanks for prompt response buddy.
I have three options in my TMC settings
1. Automatic 2. Hold Station and 3. Hold frequency
So if I can hold frequency at 100.7, will it be better?
Do you get delay message also? Mine doesn't say so.

Clearchannel Communications transmits a signal that does not interfere with regular FM transmission of radio stations and uses the CHIN Radio frequency 100.7. You do not have to be tuned in to that station to receive traffic info as the RDS TMC data is transmitted continuously between 5am and 7pm eastern time Monday to Friday (as I understand it of course). I believe more info is available at the Total Traffic Network site: http://www.realtimetraffic.net/

| On my receiver I don't have any options other than plug it in and see the traffic. I would not think you need to hold a frequency because if your radio gets the frequency then you're fine. I play my radio on 680 news (AM) as an example and it has no problem getting the signal by itself on the FM transmission |

| mine is plug and play i have no options for holding etc and don't even see what i'm tuned too. When i am heading towards a delay it will pop up remind me, tell me what it is and if i want to avoid it, delays are determined by 3 colour codes |

| well the 3 colour codes are green, yellow and red for more serious delay, it's the same as the sample showed earlier in the forum. The road changes colour depending on the traffic |

| I sometimes have about 15 events going on in my traffic and as far away as 70 km's but i find it needs to be updated faster. Is that a problem with our service provider, maybe not everyone needs to get their information from someone else. I think too many people are getting frustrated with the info giving but like anything new it takes time. |

Where did you find them? Yes. I also have these 3 color coding. Today I noticed Red for an accident on 403 west bound. Reports seems to me pretty accurate with some exceptions. I have fixed my TMC channel fixed by holding freq (100.7). Good one but nothing after 8 pm. Mine inbuilt antenna was working when I was shopping in Square One yesterday and continously updating me. |

Thank you Guys for all yor help. I called Garmin and they asked me to send my GPS for repair. I think for me is going to take a little longer! |

Hello,
I have a questions does anyone have the Nuvi 680 w/MSN direct. Was wondering if there traffic report gas, movie, etc.. works just as good or worse? Does MSN use the same frequency as TTC?
I am looking into purchasing the Nuvi 760 or Nuvi 680 with MSN.
Any feedback would be of great help.

| Blaster, I am not sure which area you are looking to have coverage in but in Canada the only service available is TTN (Total Traffic Network) as far as I know through Clearchannel. I don't believe the MSN service has coverage in Canada |
