Hi, last night I uninstalled 4.6pre6 completely except for the maps, saved routes and a speedcam poi file. I then installed 4.6F4 but still get the strange tick box in 'select maps', it is the one above load contiguous maps and the text is in bold and says something about please and map regions ( it is too big for the box and I don't have it with me to give the exact text, sorry ). The find route by address also is odd, if I type in a street name then it searches and fills in the bigger box below with matches, but, they all begin with 'Turn on backlight when.....' and so I can't see the actual address, these again are in a large bold font. It was ok prior to 4.6pre6, the maps are in a seperate folder on the storage card but surely they couldn't be corrupt ? Also, under map options where the font can be changed, instead of saying font on the left it says small, and one of the fonts in the box on the right is called '%close to' ie the same as the proximity alert menu.
Any ideas ? Pete |

Your selected mapopolis language file is corrupted (*.mlf) Switch to the default English language option under Tools > Settings > Program Options, or update your third-party customized language files, or both. If that does not work and you want to take more drastic measures, then, in the folder \Program Files\Mapopolis\ or the equivalent folder, delete the following files:
mapopts.bin *.mlf
Reinstall the program after that and the problem should be fixed. EDIT: There's no need to reinstall the program if the problem is fixed by changing the language selection and/or updating the customized text language files (*.mlf). Only if you delete *.mlf and mapopts.bin as a last resort, then you would have to reinstall to get the MLF files back.
