[I've put this question also in PDA and PC support, sorry if this is the wrong forum]
First of all I'd like to thank everyone in these forums and community. Been reading around a lot before deciding to go ahead and install MioPocket 4.0 on my Mio Moov S501. And it works perfectly... except [This is, of course, a newbie question] When I start MioMap from PDA it shows satellite and everything is fine. When I start it from MioPocket, all satellites are 0 What am I missing? Configuration file? Some sort of "enable GPS" setup? [this also goes for any other navigation application]
Also, when starting with SD card, I get a quick "flash" screen and have time to click starting from MioPocket, but couldn't get to any menu/application where I can set the delay time.
Any response will be appreciated |

@PurpleB,
IMHO first step should always be a Google-search, in your case you'ld search for "MioPocket no GPS", because almost always you are not the 1st one who have this issue.

You are right, initialzing the GPS-chip is suppressed by MioPocket, this because of the default boot sequence of your S501 was altered by MioPocket, i.e. OEM's default startup logic (which includes initializing the GPS-chip) is gone.
Don't know whether this really will help you: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=139604#982381
