helcer, louger20
you both most probably have an identical problem but with different resuts in problems. Some exe from your original Software is running which should not run under Miopocket. It's easy to solve this, but first you need to know which exe it is.
louger20 for you it's easy you only have to compare running tasks in both MP versions
helcer In the current state (Miopocket installed internally) please rename mainmenu.exe to mainmenu_MP.exe. Copy cecmd.exe out of MioAutoRun/Programs/Totalcomander folder to this place and rename to mainmenu.exe. After Hardreset Totalcommander should start, hopefully without freezing. From Totalcommender please start MioAutoRun/Programs/ITaskMgr.exe and report to me all running tasks.

Absolutely! I only suggested that way, because you reported your device as frozen. My definition of "frozen" is, that you can't start anything. However let us make "step by step". In iTaskMgr please terminate Video.exe Gpsmc.exe You can do that without having any concerns. Are you able to start Totalcommender or any other explorer? Then please do that and try to start from there MioAutoRun\Skin\iPhoneToday\iPhoneToday.exe
What happens? |

IMO GpsMc.exe probably is the current device's actual loader, as, for example, it is ST.exe with Medion devices. It acts as driver for the GPS-chip, too. By default it is startet via HKLM\init:
"Launch70"="GpsMc.exe" "Depend70"=hex: 1E,00
Already verfied this? And, only a side remark, I'm wondering why a running GpsMc.exe should prevent loading iPhoneToday.exe which in no case interferes with GPS-chip, because it's only a skin? MioPocket 4.0, as multiple times stated here, doesn't pre-load any app that reflects the GPS-chip/driver. Quite reverse, if - after a standby - GPS isn't longer recognized by navigation app, a workaround to re-initialize the GPS-chip is to add lines as following to script StartupPrograms.mscr
If(NOT ProcExists("gpsmc.exe"))
Run("\Windows\gpsmc.exe")
EndIf
@helcer
In any case you futurely always should avoid
copy mortscript, ..mscr and ...
windows screen with my device .... on the left side,
because that's really not constructive. Each detail counts! |

@jwoegerbauer right, but of course you agree with, it won't hurt to kill these two apps and find out if this is may the reason of not running IPT. Cause after Hardreset they will run again.
I found out that it's not always neccessary that such a loader exe is running all the time. For example I kill ST.exe in unlock.mscr and have GPS Signal anyway.

thanks
because I could read owners of a Pioneer AVIC (don't currently not know the exact description, because you refuse to add this necessary info to your signature, and, btw, it's really very annoying to scroll some pages back to possibly find this out) sucessfully installed MioPocket 2.0 and/or MioPocket 3.0, it must be possible to install MioPocket 4.0 on this device, too. Just for curiosity's sake I downloaded LeetLauncher V 3.0. I noticed this package mainly is driven by scripts. Hence, if you study the scripts contained, you surely will be able to successfully install MioPocket 4.0 as an application, not as a replacement for device's original shell. If I'm right and following LeetLauncher's logic, probably all you have to do is to
1) copy whole contents of the MioPocket 4.0 installation package to \Storage Card, thus subfolder MioAutoRun is created there. 2) a. in folder \Storage Card\LeetLauncher\icons you have to add an icon for MioPocket named miopocket.png (you can use icon unknown from folder \Storage Card\LeetLauncher\process_icons b. in file \Storage Card\LeetLauncher\programs.xml you have to add between labels <launcher> </launcher> a new entry
<miopocket> <program label="MioPocket 4.0 (Rel.68)" icon="APPS/icons/miopocket.png">\My Flash Disk\APL\Launch.exe</program> </miopocket>
3) you do the same steps with folder / files in \Storage Card\LeetLauncher\APPS 4) in folder \Storage Card\LeetLauncher\script you create a new script preferably named runmiopocket.mscr
Errorlevel("warn") If(NOT ProcExists("iPhoneToday.exe")) Run("\My Flash Disk\APL\Launch.exe") EndIf
but I don't know whether that's all what must be done. That was all from my side - I'll not invest more time. Good luck.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention, you - of course - additionally have to
1) block in MioPocket's Unlock.mscr the lines
#Set MioPocket to run on system startup. Launch9999 ensures that MioPocket is the last to load. #RegWriteString("HKLM", "init", "Launch9999", FlashFolder\"Launch.exe")
#Make the MioPocket launch event dependent on the explorer.exe launch event If(ToLower(data) eq "explorer.exe") # RegWriteBinary("HKLM", "init", "Depend9999", NumberToHex(SubStr(value, 7)) & " 00") EndIf
2) move files Launch.exe and Launch.ini from \My Flash Disk to \My Flash Disk\APL |

I bought Mio S600 and tried to install Miopocket 4.0 on SD cart. After copying unzipped MioAutoRun and Media folders on root, I encounter a problem how to find a name of S600 device so I can make folder on root for exe, mscr and Mortscript files. I named that folder SEEKER2_600_EEU, install MioAutoRun.exe, MioAutoRun.misc and Mortscropt.exe. First two I renamed into Auto and after returning SD cart back into my MIO, MioPocket start with installation, but reported problem with Mortscript file. I downloaded MioPocket 4.0 release 68, but same thing happens... Anny suggestions, please.... |
