Wife's Zumo 450 would not turn on a couple days ago. (Either plugged into the cradle, via the power button or the USB cable.) I did a search and found a suggestion to remove and reinstall the battery. This solved the problem but two days later it won't turn on again.
Does anyone know if this will be fixed by replacing the battery or is there some other problem.
Earlier this summer I helped someone with their 550 that also would not turn on. However theirs did turn on when plugged into a USB port but would not charge. Replacing the battery fixed their problem.
Check for dirty or worn battery contacts before replacing the battery.
Usually if a Zumo totally "dies" in this fashion, removing the battery will not revive it, so it sounds like her 450 stands a decent chance of being OK, either with minor attention to the contacts or a new battery.
