I saw that the map update was available, (JAN 28, 2009) but I did not start the download as it is 1519.2 MB and Navigon indicates it will take between 2-4 hours to download (and tie up your computer). Also indicates you need 4 GB of hard drive space on your PC. It seems the Navigon server(s) are now overloaded with EU users grabbing it so I will go after it later tonight.
Also for the 7200t there is a firmware update v7.3.4 which is 78.82 MB and did not take too long to install, maybe 10 minutes total. Navigon indicates that it includes updated Bluetooth software which adds more phones and other bug fixes. I don't have a BT phone so I can't confirm if it works any better or not.
If you made any modifications to your ApplicationSetting.xml file they have been wiped out. Why they have not fixed the <DayNightSwitching> is beyond me.

Also, what did you mean by DayNightSwitch? You mean the delay?
Navigon site does not indicate any new updates yet. Is it only available through Fresh?
Ok, fresh seem to be working painfully slow. Software downloaded fine, but the maps are no go. For some reason they seem to believe there is something wrong with my internet connection. |

They list it as Q1 2009 - I never saw a Q4 update. That's all I know.

Yeah, that's a C/P from ApplicationSettings after I updated my 7200t to v7.3.4. That shows it back to night mode delay doesn't it? My setting for over speed limit is back to original default too.
And I take it you found it is only available through Fresh app. |

Software seems to be missing some settings. Hope nothing important.
Anyone had a chance to download the actual maps? I still get error. |

Received my 8100 today.
Connected my phone, stored some routes and am now about 22% into my Q1 2009 update (and have not even received my fresh maps yet-which I have purchased). |

I downloaded the maps today using my freshmaps subscription. It appears to be working fine. I've not driven around, but browsing the map, searching POIs etc looks fine. As far as I can tell in my area there are no significant changes on this map. Some roads that were not on the Q3 map I had before are not on this one either. Hopefully this update will fix areas that I don't know about. :)
Also on my 8100T this update did not appear to alter any of the settings I had changed in ApplicationSettings.xml

I got an error when I tried to download the Q1 2009 map from Navigon Fresh.
"An error has occurred.
An error has occurred while accessing one of the files on the NAVIGON server. Please ensure that the internet connection is functioning properly"

ew, that's what I'm getting.
mboy, did Fresh allow you to download free update?
Lord, did you download maps only or software too? If maps, then obviously you still have the older MN7 and therefore, old settings.
After the software update, I no longer see the Voice Activation button, instead, there is "Show Map" button. I hope they did not decide to get rid of it. However, quirky it was, it was still a good option. I hope it will appear once I get sat signal. |

I have only downloaded the firmware update for a 7200, v7.3.4 and I still have the Voice Entry button on the Main menu screen.

Yes it allowed me to download without freshmap activatio ( I am still waiting to receive it).
Maybe it's becuase I registered my unit same day, but I def now have the Q1 2009 maps on my 8100 (SW version is still 7.2.3). |

| I used Navigon Fresh and it updated my 7200 to software version 7.3.4. There was NO update to the maps. It still shows Q3 2008. We are suppose to get one quarterly. Q4 2008 was really never released. Navigon states the the maps that shows Q3 2008 is the latest and that a newer one will be release Jan 2009. The mynavigon site still shows Q4 2008(which is Q3 2008). |

Your update looks the same as my 2120 max with 7.3.2 firmware.

I'm downloading the freshmaps Q1 2009 now, I had down loaded the 7.3.2 firmware earlier this month, seems to work fine except when setting a route to the US it wants to take me to a border crossing some 60 miles further than the nearest (20 miles), the setting was "optimal" but after changing to the "fastest" setting I get the nearest crossing....go figure.

| For those who were able to download the Q1 maps, did you download it using Navigon Fresh or a zipped version fron Navigon. When I ran the update using Navigon Fresh, it only updated the firmware/software. When I checked the map version, it still shows Q3 2008. |
