Hope, this is lil' bit useful to check your TK (or whatever) ;-)

Well, one PHP script would be enough to capture the data that I need. That's a lot easier than installing an application with many features and requirements..
How did you build your app (if I may ask)?

| GPS_Receiver only receives NMEA sentences and shows them by command line. The tool is to test if TK tracker sends data properly or fails. |

Does Anyone know of it is possible to change the speed format from KM to MPH?
I Have a wxlxy version of TK103 and xexun version of TK102-2. In my opinion, the wxlxy unit are much more user friendly and more appropriate for the end user, providing a web based server thats easy to use.
PS i have found a command that resets the password on the wxlxy TK103, it is 'adminpassword13142324', this resets password to 123456. I haven't tried it on any other unit. |

( always the light is flashing )i try to put off several times and never works. how i charge the battery if the units is always working? someone can help me?. I charged the battery 10 hours and only works about 15 hours and the tk 102 never sent me a warning and it suppose to do that. i sent a several sms and i received nothing. I cannot conect the tk102 with the computer, simply not recognise the device.thanks |

Why not: Replace the bloody TKxxx tracker by an open source project!?!
Hi all, after I found a GSM/GPS Module with included Python interpreter easily available at http://www.tigal.com/1748 and the matching demo/test PCB at http://www.tigal.com/1747 (btw: I have no connection to this company!) I am asking myself, why is there no open source project using such hardware on the way to overcome all the bugs that make the TKxxx user's life so painful????
Is there anybody out there, with enough time to setup such a project?
As a hardware engineer, I would be willing to assist regarding hardware and RF design...
Btw.: My TK102 blew up, thanks god, the accumulator did not explode, but the case cracked and the GSM module died.... Battery thickness doubled....reason unknown... |
unfortunately my signature is lost. |

| Looks interesting, but seems to get much more expensive than TK. |

| I am no engineer, but in case that the units would result in proper and full functional tracking units i would be interested in. I sell tracking products in germany and am always interested in "new stuff". |

| would it not be a better idea of trying to generate our own custom firmware for the tk102 etc devices so that we can get these devices to work properly, i very much doubt that the problem lies with the hardware as the hardware only does what the software tells it to do. Please let me know if this would not be the right option as i have so many of these units which hardware is good but software is the problem. |

Hi guys,
I just got a TK-102. I believe that it has the latest firmware. So far only tested on static reporting and the result is so far so good. For the moment, the issues I face are: 1) SOS no function (after pressed for about 3 seconds) 2) Received the imei no. from the unit but when I about to add it into the tracking system, I receive "Invalid imei". This is also happen when I copy and paste the url given by the unit onto my internet browser. Please advise. Thanks in advance. |

Hi everybody! Sorry for my bad English. Im from Russia I have bought gps103 from COBAN http://coban.manufacturer.globalsources.com/si/6008828124217/pdtl/GSM-alarm/1029744390/GPS-Monitor.htm. Then I have read this interesting forum and I have some questions 1) How to me to learn what Firmware on the device? 2) Where to take the newest firmware for my device? 3) I have no standard adapter but I have same adapter. What difference between a long and short cable?
