These are both Costco exclusives. Is there any major difference between these two models other than the 5 inch comes with lifetime maps, with protection case?
The 2036 MU only comes with a one time update.

Are there any electronic or different features between these two models?

What problems do the new Magellans have?
gpspassion Posted - 24 mars 2011 : 03:50:22
Link not pointing to the 2036MU, after some searching I found a direct link : http://www.magellangps.com/Products/All-Vehicle-Navigators/Magellan-RoadMate-2036-MU

Looks pretty complete but with all the problems of the Magellan systems (Two defective 1440s here and counting) and their problems with using the new maps...and lack of crucial features like speed limit signs or custom POI importing, I'd take a close look at a Garmin GPS instead, they don't have these shortcomings.

Got any links or pictures? Don't remember the 2036 being discussed before.
