Posted - 03 avr. 2010 : 17:04:28 I apologize for this obviously stupid question but. . . I have a nuvi 1490T, I downloaded Lifetime maps North America, and CitiXplorer New York, NY, and CitiXplorer Washington, DC. They are indeed "stored" on my nuvi because I can see them in file explorer when I connect my nuvi to my computer.
My question is. . . How can I prove that they are indeed usable (selectable) on my nuvi and are being loaded for my use? Please note: I am a long time user of a Garmin 60CSx and know all about loading and choosing specific maps but I cant seem to figure it out the 1490T. Thanks for any help on this! -Ej-

Posted - 05 avr. 2010 : 02:49:49 Thank you ST. Your knowledge saved me a lot of fumbling.
The more I get to know this new 1490T, the more I'm starting to realize that my old GPSMAP60CSx is quite a wonderful little machine.

Posted - 03 avr. 2010 : 17:32:21 Page 41 of the user's manual has your answer.
Tools -> Settings -> Map -> Map Info
Select the check-marks next to the maps you wish to display, uncheck the ones you wish to hide.
User's manuals can be boring, but in the end they'll make you smarter.
