As I guess you need a special file: sox.exe (it must be placed in PoiLoader's installation catalog).
Do you have it there ?
Try file I use for many years, link: http://beetle-m.neostrada.pl/Test/sox.zip
B-noted: After extracting above .zip archive please rename the file to sox.exe

I have a problem with my 3790, I have been using Turbo's EPE for many, many years to create my gpx file for my custom POI's and have been using wav files for the POI alerts. I then use Garmin's POI Loader to create the gpi files but it is now saying that it cant use wav files only mp3 files which the 3790 cant play as it doesn't have a mp3 player. What is my best option to overcome this problem. I am using POI Loader 2.7.3 as well as Turbo's latest version of EPE which is not the problem as when I use POI Loader with the gpx, bmp & wav file in the same folder POI Loader comes back at the end saying : Unable to convert C:\...\*.wav to the proper format, therefore this audio file was not transferred.

You should find the POIs are copied into the POI folder on your 760.

Hello all, pardon me if this is not the right forum for this or if this has been addressed before. The scenario is - when I insert a SD card with say, some POIs onto the Nuvi760, the set will ask if I want to copy the POIs onto the set such that the POIs will still be available for use even if the SD card is removed. My question is where are these POIs copied to and can the same be deleted?

Dan. I'm too ugly to use mirror.
Garmin has same problem I guess
I met some idea. Maybe Garmin is preparing new extension for devices: filename.poi
If it's right they've started wrong way cause now nuvi series isn't ready for it.
Let me think it is typical bug as ... latest Garmin standards.

A focused, factual critique like yours is always welcome here.
As for where are the beta testers, do you happen to have a mirror handy [grin]?

I'm sorry to tell ...
Garmin behaves like novice. From some time (maybe one/two years) I have a mistrust of their applications (see also Garmin Lifetime Updater problems). Where are beta-testers, where is Garmin's QC ?
Mom, where am I ?
Beetl(e)dit: BTW I can't believe so extension: .poi will be available for Garmin devices in the future. For now, mentioned file isn't visible for them.
If you (GpsPasSion) decide it isn't constructive critique feel free to delete my post.

Indeed, strange error and there are going to be a lot of confused customers calling with the "where are my POIs" question!

Anyway we can expect newer release cause 2.7.0 has probable bug with filename if you are sending data to "Garmin Device". Filename got extension .poi
Correct filename is folder_name.gpi as everybody (except Garmin engineers) knows.
Sending data to "Computer" (using ver. 2.7.0) is correct.
